플러싱 식량 지원 활동 자원봉사자 모집

민권센터는 지금도 매주 목요일 플러싱식량지원협의회와 함께 식량 배급 활동을 펼치고 있습니다. 플러싱에서 여전히 많은 분들이 식량을 받으러 오고 계십니다. 현재 식량 배급을 위한 자원봉사자가 절실하게 필요한 상태입니다. 식량 배급 정보와 함께 자원봉사 참여에 대한 안내를 드립니다.

플러싱 식량 지원 활동

• 언제: 매주 목요일 낮 12시
• 어디서: 플러싱 자유 유대교당(136-23 Sanford Ave 플러싱)
• 등록/배급: 등록과 배급을 모두 낮 12시에 시작해 진행합니다. 하지만 아침부터 줄을 서는 분들이 많기 때문에 일찍 나오시는 것이 좋습니다. 식량은 350여 명분을 배급합니다.
• 자원봉사자 모집: 오전 9시부터 낮 12시까지 식량을 받으러 오시는 분들과 소통하며 길게 선 줄을 관리하는 등 안내를 맡을 중국어가 가능한 자원봉사자 3~4명이 필요합니다. 또 언어에 관계 없이 배급 전 식량을 나르고 포장할 자원봉사자 2~3명이 필요합니다. 약 2~3시간 동안 40파운드 가량의 식량 박스를 옮길 수 있는 건강한 분이면 좋습니다. 자원봉사 등록은 “여기“에서 하시면 됩니다.

Recruitment of Volunteers for Flushing Food Distribution Program

The MinKwon(Civil Rights) Center is continuing its food distribution activities every Thursday with the Flushing Food Support Council. Many people in Flushing are still coming to receive food. Currently, there is an urgent need for volunteers to assist with food distribution. Information on food distribution and guidance on volunteering are provided.

Flushing Food Support Activity

• When: Every Thursday at noon
• Where: Flushing Freedom Synagogue (136-23 Sanford Ave, Flushing)
• Registration/Distribution: Both registration and distribution start at noon. However, many people line up early in the morning, so it is recommended to arrive early. Food is distributed to around 350 people.
• Volunteer recruitment: Three to four volunteers who can speak Chinese are needed from 9 a.m. to noon to communicate with those who come to receive food and manage the long lines. Additionally, two to three volunteers are needed to carry and pack food boxes before distribution, regardless of language. It is preferable for volunteers to be healthy and capable of moving approximately 40 pounds of food boxes for about 2-3 hours. To register as a volunteer, click “here“.
