2023년 3월5일 출범한 뉴욕·뉴저지 “비상시국회의”가 고국의 사회혼란이 걱정된다며, 4월8일부터 맨해튼 코리아타운에서 시위를 시작했다. 뉴욕·뉴저지 교민들로 구성된 “비상시국회의”는 다음과 같은 구호로 시위를 이어갈 예정이다.
“The Emergency Committee” that was launched on March 5, 2023 in New York and New Jersey has expressed concern about the social unrest in their home country, and on April 8, they began a protest in Manhattan’s Korea Town. The Emergency Committee, made up of New York and New Jersey immigrants, plans to continue their protest with the following slogan.

뉴욕·뉴저지 비상대책위원회는 한인 이민자들에게 매주 토요일 저녁 7시 맨해튼 코리아타운 등지에서 함께 침묵 피켓 시위에 동참해 줄 것을 요청했다.
The Emergency Committee for New York and New Jersey has called on fellow Korean immigrants to participate in a silent picket protest every Saturday at 7 pm in places such as Manhattan’s Koreatown, in solidarity with their cause.
