The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in LA to Hold an Economic Advisory Council Meeting
On March 16th, Consul General Kim Young-wan of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in LA held a meeting with economic advisory council members.
LA총영사관(총영사 김영완)은 3월 16일, LA총영사관 경제자문위원들을 초청하여 간담회를 개최하였다.
The meeting was attended by nine council members who are experts in their respective fields, including lawyers, accountants, customs brokers, and business executives.
동 간담회에는 변호사, 회계사, 관세사, 기업대표 등 각 분야의 전문가로 구성된 총영사관 경제자문위원 9명이 참석하였다.
Consul General Kim emphasized the importance of sharing information and communicating among the consulate and various experts in the face of various and complex crises such as concerns about an economic downturn, supply chain restructuring, climate change, and food and energy crises.
김영완 총영사는 “총영사관 및 각 전문가들이 경기침체 우려 증가, 공급망 재편, 기후변화, 식량‧에너지 위기 등 다양하고 복합적인 위기에 직면한 현재의 상황에서 각자의 영역에서 가진 정보를 나누고 소통하여 공동 대응하는 것이 중요하다”고 강조하였다.
During the meeting, they reviewed real economy and financial trends specific to the western United States, discussed potential issues in each economic sector, and collected on-site opinions and response plans regarding the Koreatown economy.
이날 간담회에서는 미 서부지역에 특화된 실물경제 및 금융 동향을 점검하고, 각 경제 분야에서의 향후 발생 가능한 이슈 및 코리아타운 경제에 대한 현장의 의견수렴 및 대응방안이 논의되었다.
