민권센터 봄맞이 커뮤니티 축제 후원해 주세요
민권센터가 오는 5월 27일(토) 오전 10시~오후 2시 개최하는 2023 봄맞이 커뮤니티 축제를 위한 후원을 받고 있습니다.
The MinKwon Center is currently accepting donations for the 2023 Spring Community Festival, which will be held on Saturday, May 27th from 10am to 2pm.
글로우 커뮤니티 센터(133-29 41st Ave 1층 플러싱)에서 열리는 축제에서는 복지 프로그램과 건강보험 안내, 코비드-19 검사와 무료 건강 검진, 음악과 예술/공예 실습 등 주민들에게 꼭 필요한 서비스와 즐길거리를 마련합니다.
At the festival held at the Glow Community Center (133-29 41st Ave 1st floor, Flushing), essential services and enjoyable activities will be provided for residents, including welfare programs, health insurance guidance, COVID-19 testing and free health check-ups, as well as music and workshops on art and crafts.
참가자들에게는 간식과 음료도 제공합니다. 한인사회와 플러싱 커뮤니티를 위해 진행하는 봄맞이 축제를 앞두고 민권센터는 경비 마련을 위해 후원을 받고 있습니다.
Snacks and beverages will be provided to the participants. The MinKwon Center is seeking donations for security expenses in preparation for the spring festival for the Korean community and Flushing community.

*민권센터에서는 12일 뉴욕장로교퀸즈병원과 함께 최윤희 전문의를 모시고 ‘고혈압 및 뇌졸중 세미나’를 열었습니다(사진3, 4). 최 전문의가 발표를 한 뒤 참가자들은 열띤 질문을 하며 궁금증을 풀었습니다.
On the 12th, the MinKwon Center held a “Hypertension and Stroke Seminar” in collaboration with New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital, with specialist Choi Yoon-hee in attendance (Photos 3,4). After the presentation by specialist Choi, the participants asked lively questions and had their doubts cleared.
*한국 KBS 월드 라디오가 지난 11일(화) ‘뉴욕에 이어 뉴저지까지… 폭넓은 봉사 서비스 펼치는 민권센터’라는 제목으로 민권센터의 역사와 활동을 소개하는 시간을 마련했습니다. 방송에서는 뉴저지 사무실 개소, 한국어 서비스법 제정 촉구를 비롯 이민자 권익, 정치력 신장, 사회봉사, 청소년 교육, 문화사업 등 민권센터의 전반적인 활동을 소개했습니다.

On Tuesday the 11th, Korea’s KBS World Radio featured a segment titled ‘From New York to New Jersey… MinKwon Center Providing Broad Volunteer Services’ introducing the history and activities of the MinKwon Center. The broadcast covered the opening of the New Jersey office, advocacy for the Korean Language Services Act, as well as the center’s overall activities including immigrant rights, political empowerment, community service, youth education, and cultural projects.
