미주한인봉사교육단체협의회 전국 회의 참가
지난 13일(목)부터 16일까지 민권센터 스태프와 이사, 청소년, 이민자 모임 회원 등 30여 명(사진1)은 텍사스주 휴스턴에서 열린 미주한인봉사교육단체협의회(NAKASEC) 전국 회의에 참가했습니다.
From the 13th (Thursday) to the 16th, a group of about 30 people including staff and directors from the MinKwon(Civil Rights) center, youth, immigrant community members, and others participated in the national conference of the NAKASEC, a Korean American volunteer education organization, held in Houston, Texas.
NAKASEC은 뉴욕과 뉴저지 민권센터, 버지니아 함께센터, 펜실베이니아 우리센터, 시카고 하나센터, 텍사스 우리훈또스 등 지역 단체들이 함께 활동하는 전국 한인 단체입니다. 또 캘리포니아주 민족학교와 아리센터가 협력 단체로 연대하고 있는 등 미 전역 7개 한인 단체가 힘을 모으고 있습니다.
NAKASEC is a national Korean American organization that works in collaboration with local organizations such as the New York and New Jersey MinKwon Center, Virginia Hana Center, Pennsylvania Woori Center, Chicago Hana Center, Texas Woori Juntos Center, among others. Additionally, it partners with the California Korean Resource Center and Ahri Center. Seven Korean American organizations across the United States have joined forces to strengthen their efforts.
모든 지역 단체들은 한인과 아시안, 이민자 커뮤니티의 권익 향상과 정치력 신장, 사회 봉사, 청소년 교육 활동을 펼칩니다. NAKASEC은 전국 한인사회의 권익을 위해 일하며 지역 단체들을 지원하는 역할을 합니다.
“All local organizations work towards improving the rights and political power of the Korean, Asian, and immigrant communities, as well as engaging in social service and youth education activities. NAKASEC works to support local organizations in their efforts to advance the rights of the Korean-American community nationwide.
이번 전국 회의는 미 전역에서 150여 명이 참가해 서로의 소식과 경험을 나누고 앞으로의 활동 방향을 결정하는 귀중한 시간이었습니다. 참가자들은 앞으로 NAKASEC의 힘을 더욱 키워 한인사회의 앞날을 개척해나갈 것입니다.
The national conference this time was a valuable time for approximately 150 participants from all over the United States to share their news and experiences, and to determine the direction of future activities. The participants will work to further strengthen the power of NAKASEC and pioneer the future of the Korean-American community.
