New Jersey — 뉴저지 민권센터는 연방정부의 대규모 이민자 단속을 규탄하는 한편 주정부의 이민자 수용소 시설 확대에도 반대하고 있습니다. 3월 11일(화) 민권센터는 뉴저지이민자정의연맹 등과 함께 뉴왁에 있는 델래니홀 앞에서 시위를 벌였습니다.
주정부는 현재 이 시설을 이민자 수용소로 다시 사용하는 것을 추진 중입니다. 수용소 확대는 연방정부의 이민자 단속을 뒷받침하는 조치입니다. 민권센터 등은 뉴저지 주정부가 이민자 보호에 나서줄 것을 촉구합니다.
