지난 4일(목) 뉴저지 민권센터 한인과 아시안, 유대인 커뮤니티가 공동 주최한 커뮤니티 토론회에 참가했습니다. KCC 한인동포회관과 북부뉴저지 유대인 연맹 등이 주최한 이날 행사에 뉴저지 민권센터 김성원 프로그램 매니저(사진 오른쪽)가 토론자로 참가해 서류미비 이민자를 비롯 한인 커뮤니티 현황을 설명했습니다.
지난해 12월 문을 열고 본격적인 활동을 시작한 뉴저지 민권센터는 여러 아시안, 이민자 그리고 소수계 커뮤니티와 교류, 연대하며 커뮤니티 권익 향상을 위해 힘쓰고 있습니다.
Forum for Korean, Asian, and Jewish Communities
On Thursday, the 4th, the New Jersey Civil Rights Center co-hosted a community forum with Korean, Asian, and Jewish communities. The event was organized by the KCC Korean Community Center and the Northern New Jersey Jewish Federation, and Kim Sung-won, program manager of the New Jersey Civil Rights Center, participated as a panelist and explained the situation of the Korean community, including undocumented immigrants.
The New Jersey Civil Rights Center, which opened its doors in December of last year and began full-scale activities, is working hard to improve community rights by exchanging and cooperating with various Asian, immigrant, and minority communities.
