Jean is a fashion item that has been loved by everyone regardless of time. NewJeans contains the ambition to become an icon of the era like jeans that can be found every day and never get bored no matter when they are worn, as well as the determination to become a New Genes.
They were selected as the most anticipated K-POP girl group in 2022, and as of their debut on July 22, 2022, the average age of the members is 16.4 years old. They are the first girl group to debut while all members were minors since Girls’ Generation.
Ditto, released on December 19, 2022, has set a record of seven consecutive weeks at the top of various music charts and has the highest number of daily number ones for any girl group in history. It also achieved a daily chart number one as soon as it was released and became the fourth idol group song in the history of the Melon chart to enter the daily chart number one immediately after its release.
