The Greenhouse Gas Inventory & Research Center of Korea’s Ministry of Environment has been operating an “International Expert Training Course on Greenhouse Gases” since 2011 to contribute to greenhouse gas reduction efforts. The course targets officials and researchers in charge of greenhouse gas management and climate change-related affairs in non-Annex I countries under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Since 2017, the program has been jointly operated with the UNFCCC Secretariat.
This year’s course, the 13th UNFCCC-GIR-CASTT Programme on Greenhouse Gases, will be held in Seoul, Korea for three weeks from July 10 to July 28, 2023. The program aims to enhance the capacity of developing countries to respond to climate change by inviting professionals in the field of climate change and greenhouse gases from around the world to Korea for specialized training.
Applications are open from April 10 to April 30, 2023, and the program is open to officials, researchers, and consultants in the field of greenhouse gases and climate change who have a good understanding of English and basic computer skills. Only one participant per country will be selected, and a maximum of 30 participants will be accepted.

제13차 국제 온실가스 전문가 교육과정 교육생 (트리니다드토바고, 그레나다, 세인트루시아, 세인트빈센트그레나딘, 바베이도스) 모집 안내
환경부 온실가스종합정보센터(GIR)는 온실가스 감축에 기여하기 위해 2011년부터 UN 기후변화협약(UNFCCC) 비부속서 I 당사국의 온실가스 관리, 기후변화 관련 공무원 · 연구원 등을 대상으로 「국제 온실가스 전문가 교육과정」을 운영해오고 있으며, 2017년부터는 UN기후변화협약 사무국과 협력하여 공동으로 운영하고 있습니다.
금년도 교육과정은 2023년 7월 10일부터 7월 28일까지 3주간 한국(서울)에서 개최될 예정입니다.
