*English/Citizen Class
Last Wednesday (15th), the Minkwon Center held its 7th English/Civics class. 23 Korean and Chinese participants attended the beginner and intermediate classes. In this class, they studied words and sentences related to the American social system and learned how to apply them in everyday conversations. We encourage many Korean immigrants who have difficulty using English to participate in the Minkwon Center’s English/Civics class and learn how the U.S. government operates.
The classes will be held free of charge every week at the Minkwon Center (133-29 41st Ave 2nd floor Flushing) until April 19th. -Beginner Class: Every Wednesday from 1 pm to 2:45 pm. Interpretation services in Korean and Chinese are available. -Intermediate Class: Every Wednesday from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. -지난주 수요일(15일) 민권센터는 7번째 영어/시민 교실을 진행했습니다. 한인과 중국인 23명이 초급과 중급 교실에 참여하고 있습니다. 이날 교실에서는 미국사회 제도와 관련된 단어와 문장을 공부했으며 이를 일상적인 대화에 적용하는 방법을 배웠습니다. 영어 사용이 힘드신 많은 한인 여러분들이 민권센터 영어/시민교실에 참여해 영어와 미국 정부가 어떻게 운영되는지를 배우시기 바랍니다.
- 교실은 오는 4월 19일까지 매주 민권센터(133-29 41st Ave 2층 플러싱)에서 무료로 열립니다.
- 초급반: 매주 수요일 오후 1시~2시45분. 한국어와 중국어 통역이 제공됩니다.
- 중급반: 매주 수요일 오후 3~4시30분. 통역 없이 영어로 진행됩니다.
