- In season 2, the fate of these individuals on both sides of the bright and dark nights is expected to change and there is great anticipation for what will happen.

4. The watch
- The watch symbolizes Moon Dong-eun’s high school homeroom teacher. When she asked for help as a victim of school violence, no one helped her.
동은의 고등학교 시절 담임 선생님을 의미하는 것으로 학교폭력 피해자로서 도움을 요청했을 때,아무도 그녀를 도와주지 않았습니다.
- The homeroom teacher said things like “It is no big deal” on the side of the perpetrators at the police station. Before he mercilessly wielded violence in front of other teachers at the faculty room he took off the watch on his wrist.
담임교사는 경찰서에서 가해자 측에서 “별 거 아니다”라는 말을 하고 교무실에서 다른 교사들 앞에서 무자비하게 폭력을 휘두르기 전에 손목시계를 풀었습니다.
- This watch is evidence of the violence that the homeroom teacher wielded.
이 시계는 담임이 휘두른 폭력의 증거입니다.
- When his son, an educator, was promoted, he gave him this watch as a gift.
교육자였던 아들이 진급했을 때 아들에게 선물로 준 시계이기도 합니다.

누군가에게 시계를 선물한다는 것은 당신이 소중한 사람이라는 뜻이고, 함께 한 시간을 기억해 주기를 바란다는 뜻입니다.

- The checkerboard is a very important setting in the drama.
바둑판은 드라마에서 매우 중요한 설정입니다
- In order to approach the husband of Yeon-jin, Dong-eun learned how to play baduk (Korean chess) from Yeong-jeong.
동은은 자신이 복수할 대상인 연진의 남편에게 접근하기 위해서 여정에게 바둑을 배웠습니다.
- Do-young likes things that have clear lines, like a checkerboard.
도영은 바둑판처럼 선이 분명한 것을 좋아합니다.
- As the CEO of a construction company, Do-yeong said that he was born into a life where he was given the black stone (the advantage in baduk).
건설회사의 대표로서 도영은 항상 양보받는 삶을 살았습니다.
- In other words, he was born into a privileged life where he could live more easily than others.
즉 남들보다 더 쉽게 살 수 있는 특권을 가진 부잣집에서 태어났습니다
- As Do-yeong met Dong-eun, for the first time he faced the challenge of possibly losing what he had built up.
도영은 동은을 만나 자신이 쌓아올린 집을 잃을 수도 있다는 난관을 처음으로 맞게 됩니다.
- In baduk, as black and white stones build their own homes and attack the opponent’s homes one by one.
바둑에서는 흑돌과 백돌이 자신의 집을 짓고 상대의 집을 공격합니다.

6. The pencil
- The pencil is a symbol of the dream that Dong-eun had of becoming an architect during her high school years.
연필은 동은이가 건축가를 꿈꿨던 꿈을 의미합니다.
- After the violent incident, Dong-eun dropped her dream of becoming an architect and changed her life goal to seek revenge on Yeon-jin.
학폭 사건 이후 건축가의 꿈을 포기하고 인생의 목표를 연진에 대한 복수로 바꿉니다.
- Despite facing the difficult challenge of working in a factory and studying at the same time due to her family’s difficult financial situation.
집안 형편이 어려워 공장에서 일을 하며 공부를 병행해야 하는 어려운 난관에도 불구하고
- Dong-eun overcame the hardships of long days and nights of studying and was finally admitted to a teacher’s college.
동은은 밤낮으로 공부하여 마침내 교육대학에 입학하게 됩니다.

7. The blue shopping

파란 쇼핑백에는 재준이 운영하는 명품샵 이름인 ‘씨에스타’가 적혀있습니다.
- Jae-jun named the shop Siesta because he likes to have affairs with Park Yeon-jin during the afternoon. It seems like he has had a long-time crush on her.
재준이는 연진이와 낮에 불륜하는 게 좋아서 이름을 그렇게 지었다고 합니다. 오랫동안 그녀를 짝사랑했던 것 같습니다.
- The shop is also a place where another victim of school violence, Kyeong-ran, works as a clerk.
그 가게는 또 다른 학교폭력 피해자인 경란이 점원으로 일하는 곳이기도 합니다.
- Kyeong-ran is being used, but since she doesn’t have any sense of boundaries, all the perpetrators are being exposed there.
경란을 부려먹으면서 경계심을 갖지 않기에 가해자들의 일거수 일투족이 그곳에서 드러날 장소이기도 합니다.

경란이 차근차근 복수를 위해 증거를 수집하고 있을 가능성이 높으니

8. The curling iron
- The curling iron is an object that represents Myung-oh’s school violence.
명오의 학교 폭력을 나타내는 물건입니다.
- In high school, Myung-oh used a curling iron to physically attack Dong-eun.
고등학교 때 동은에게 직접 고데기로 화상을 입힙니다.
- Surprisingly, this incident actually occurred in a school in Cheongju in 2006.
놀랍게도 이 사건은 2006년 청주의 한 학교에서 실제로 일어났습니다.
- One can only imagine how much pain the victim endured at that time and may still be suffering.
사건 당시에 피해자가 얼마나 많은 고통을 겪었는지 상상할 수도 없습니다.
- Dong-eun not only experiences mental pain from the burn caused by the curling iron but also physical pain as the area is still itchy and dry even after treatment.
고데기에 데인 화상으로 인해 동은은 정신적인 고통뿐 아니라 아직도 팔을 긁어야 하는 육체적인 고통도 함께 겪고 있습니다.
- Burn patients often experience ongoing discomfort and itching, particularly during poor weather conditions or when their overall health is poor despite applying medication.
화상 환자의 경우 치료를 끝낸 후에도 날씨가 흐리고 컨디션이 안 좋을 때에는 계속 간지럽고 약을 발라도 소용이 없다고 합니다.

9. The sneakers
- There is a pair of sneakers hanging from a tree In the drama, there were scenes of Dong-eun wearing old sneakers.during her high school days, and the shoes symbolize the violence she suffered.
동은이가 고교시절 낡은 운동화를 신고 다녔습니다. 그 신발은 학폭을 당하던 때의 동은이를 상징합니다.
- In particular, one pair is securely tied to the trunk of the tree representing Dong-eun’s high school days when she was left alone in the world, barely clinging to life with just one thread, without anyone to help him.
특히 한 켤레는 나무 줄기에 단단하게 묶여 있어 도와주는 사람 하나 없이 이 세상에 홀로 남겨진 듯 목숨 줄 하나만으로 살아야 했던 고등학교 시절을 의미하는 것 같습니다.
10. The medical scalpel
- The medical scalpel represents Yeo-jeong. As a plastic surgeon, Yeo-jeong’s profession involves handling scalpels. Llike Dong-eun, he also has someone he wants to seek revenge against.
여정을 대표하는 의료용 메스. 성형외과 의사인 여정의 직업은 메스를 다루는 일이지만, 동은처럼 그에게도 복수하고 싶은 상대가 있습니다.
- The killer of his father’s patient, Yeong-cheon, continues to harass Yeo-jeong with letters from prison, showing no remorse.
아버지의 환자를 죽인 살인마 영천은 반성하지 않은 채 감옥에서 편지를 보내며 여정을 계속 괴롭히고 있습니다.

여정은 복수를 하기 위해 준비하고 있었을 때
