Introduction to CSR Activities of Korean Companies in Brazil and CSR Guide for Brazil
The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in São Paulo, led by Consul General Hwang In-sang, has published a booklet titled “Introduction to CSR Activities of Korean Companies in Brazil and CSR Guide for Brazil” in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Korean immigration to Brazil.
The booklet includes information on the social contribution activities of Korean companies operating in Brazil, in both Korean and Portuguese, to help the local community cope with the social and economic difficulties caused by COVID-19. The “CSR Guide for Brazil” contains an introduction to concepts related to corporate social responsibility (CSR), general information on Korea and Brazil, CSR activity reports of Korean companies operating in Brazil, samples of South Korean CSR encouragement programs, and a guide to CSR laws and activities in Brazil.
The “CSR Guide for Brazil” is being distributed to domestic and foreign agencies as well as Korean companies operating in Brazil. An e-book version has also been created and attached to the booklet, making it available for free to anyone who wishes to use it.
The Consulate General plans to continue its active diplomatic efforts to create a more favorable business environment for Korean companies operating in Brazil.
지역사회와의 상생ㆍ발전을 위한 사회공헌 활동
주 상파울루 총영사관(총영사 황인상)은 한인 브라질 이민 60주년을 맞아 “브라질 진출 우리기업 CSR 활동 소개 및 브라질 CSR 가이드” 책자를 발간했다.
동 책자는 1963년 이래 한인 이민을 받아준 브라질 현지사회가 코로나19로 사회적, 경제적인 어려움을 겪고 있는 상황에서, 상생ㆍ발전을 위해 힘써온 브라질 진출 한국 기업들의 사회공헌 활동을 한국어와 포어로 수록하여 브라질 현지인들도 잘 알 수 있도록 했다.
브라질 CSR 가이드에는 ▴기업의 사회적 책임(CSR)과 관련된 개념 소개, ▴한국 및 브라질 일반 정보, ▴브라질 진출 우리기업 CSR 활동 보고서, ▴대한민국 CSR 장려 프로그램 본보기, ▴브라질 CSR 법률 및 활동 가이드 등이 포함되어 있다.
“브라질 CSR 가이드”는 국내외 관계기관 및 브라질 진출 한국 기업 등에 배포 중이며, 전자책으로도 제작되어 누구나 자유롭게 이용할 수 있도록 파일을 첨부했다.
주 상파울루 총영사관 브라질에 진출해 있는 한국 기업들이 보다 우호적인 비즈니스 환경에서 활동할 수 있도록 적극적인 외교활동을 지속 추진해나갈 예정이다.
